I discovered Black Bear Diner when I was living/working in the Phoenix area a decade ago (they are based out of California) and I was a regular customer on weekends for breakfast and occasionally lunch. Had small chicken fried steak lunch very good food I’ll definitely go back. only think I might add is a dinner roll I love bread lol. employees all seem to be happy and friendly, lorrine was my server she welcomed me since it was first visit made me feel very comfortable

Excellent Breakfast menu... large portions - has a lot of variety... waffles, pancakes. eggs, breakfast meat, biscuits & gravy, fresh fruit, omelets, french toast... etc... Definitely recommend breakfast. and this is available all day on the menu. 😋 Tonight we tried dinner... not so great... my sister had the tri tip steak (over cooked and she didn't like the seasoning) and I had chicken fried steak...(didn't taste like cube steak, but more like frozen patties) neither were great and left us disappointed. ☹️ Corn bread ... read more
yes the breakfast was delicious and fresh. I would have to go back and try their dinners soon.
Breakfast was really good. super friendly staff. Manager was super friendly. Checked on us a couple of times. He even refilled our drinks. We will be returning.
