Black Bear Diner review Where do I start with this review? I'm really wanted to leave an overall good review but as I've looked back on the dining experience with my family, it was a very medicore experience despite me enjoying my meal overall. The meals ordered were: Fish and fries, which came with cod filets, hush puppies, and fries. This was a replacement meal as my mom's original order was out (All you can eat catfish). The 2 egg breakfast meal, which came with scrambled eggs, sausage, and two biscuits with gravy. I ... read more

Tasty comfort food (I've had the scram-bowl and the tuna melt - both yummy). Good service. Large menu is a bit overwhelming.

Sadly we moved away from Black Bear Diner in Phoenix 5 years ago. It was one of our favorite places. We were thrilled to learn one had opened up near us here in Plano. The breakfast is really good. The chicken fried steak is frozen. Skip it. The ranch dressing has onions in it. Yuk! For over a month, the women's toilet has leaked all of the floor. It still has not been fixed.

Went there twice over the weekend. Food was good, service was good. Just wish it was closer. If I can find a cook who can do fried egg with jammy yolk the place will get 5 stars. Signing up for the rewards club was difficult and I'm still not sure it's completely properly.
