Black Bear Diner review Where do I start with this review? I'm really wanted to leave an overall good review but as I've looked back on the dining experience with my family, it was a very medicore experience despite me enjoying my meal overall. The meals ordered were: Fish and fries, which came with cod filets, hush puppies, and fries. This was a replacement meal as my mom's original order was out (All you can eat catfish). Sadly we moved away from Black Bear Diner in Phoenix 5 years ago. It was one of our favorite places. We were thrilled to learn one had opened up near us here in Plano. According to our server, they've been open only a couple months. It was as if we'd never left. Same comfort food we remember. I got the Grizz breakfast. My wife got the crispy chicken bacon ranch wrap. Solid quality and the usual huge portions. Their prices are a good deal higher than we remember. But that's all restaurants lately.
