This has a very Country feel to it and it is pleasantly different from other diners. It almost feels like it would, if Buccee's had a diner in it's big store, set apart from the crowd. The service could have been better. Too many waiters came around asking if we needed anything and among all 3 of them, we didn't get water, plain cream or extra butter. The corn beef was tough. Dolores our server was the best!! She stayed on top of her game, always checking on us, helping us with recommendations, etc.. Will only ask for her when I go back!
Love the bear them. Reminds me of the one of my favorite childhood stories, The Three Bears. Menu is on a news paper, nice touch, very different. It has a large selection of menu items. I ordered the Avocado on wheat toast, fresh fruit and eggs plate. Hubby got the Southern Scramble. Now bring your appetite because they feed you well! We went for breakfast and got there later in the morning so we expected to wait. The server was friendly and attentive. Biscuits are HUGE and good. I had pancakes and my wife had an omelet. Both were great - we will definitely return.
So happy to get a black bear diner in north Texas. Classic diner food, fun and cute decor, makes me miss the PNW. Staff always seeming like they're having fun despite how busy they always are. Worth the wait.

Been looking forward to trying this place for a while but I wanted to give them some time to work The kinks out before giving them a shot. Really good looking place. They spent some time and effort on the decor and it's charming. Took quite a while to get a table. There was just two of us and lots of Empty Tables. We just went to ignored for a while.
