The breakfast was spot on, hash browns are a thick cut potato that was spot on, eggs cooked perfect, biscuits and gravy were really good(I'm picky on cream gravy and theirs was good) and the bacon was thick cut and cooked to a slight crisp(just how I like it). Servers made sure my coffee was full and they were very attentive(we were there at 630AM on a Friday, so they weren't busy). The menu is on what looks like a newspaper and the dinning area is very cozy. Great to find a new breakfast spot. Will be back for sure.
We went to Black Bear Diner a few days ago and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. I loved my BLT on sourdough it was a treat to get it on sourdough. My daughter thought her Chicken Fried steak was good, too. They have a very extensive menu including breakfast, so we will be going again soon.
Scramble eggs cold, french toast cold, long wait for food to be delivered to our table, compared to other tables, informed out of orange juice, but other guests served orange juice. Generosity 3 stars.
Came in for breakfast before Sunday football with my girlfriend and we were pleasantly surprised. By the line outside we should've known we were in for a treat. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful
OMG! We went with a coupon for breakfast but didn't use it. Ordered Big Bear portion of CFS with 3 eggs 2 huge biscuits and hash brown, the wife ordered Eggs Benedict with hash brown. It was all great. It was so good we went back two days later for lunch. Big Bear portion of CFS with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, the wife had the fish and chips. It was very good but not as mind blowinfly awesome as breakfast had been. Still it was huge portions that were really good. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They... read more
My family has been going to Black Bear Diner for years when we visit family in California and have been hoping we would one day get a location in the area. We were so excited when we found out it was happening. Our first visit to this location went great. We visited after church and it was busy as expected. We were told a 45 minute wait and only waited 20 minutes. After we were seated we were greeted by our waitress and our order was taken promptly. Our good came out fairly quick and it was delicious as always. We will be v... read more
we've been here at the one in Mesquite several times and we absolutely love it, the atmosphere, the food but most of all everyone is so nice and welcoming. and the prices aren't too bad either. we tell any and everyone about the, we highly recommend them.
They have good food but slow getting your order out. My server was very nice! Very busy wait time was projected to be longer than what it actually was that was great. Try not to get seated by the restrooms just make you feel dirty!
We went for lunch shortly after opening. They still have some kinks to work out. Food was good. Waitress was stressed but amazing. We will be back.
