We came back for the pancakes and the service was horrible today. Table for two, we were seated in a small room just inside the front door. Our waitress approached and we ordered a coffee and a cold brew and 2 waters. She immediately returned with the coffees. Then we sat and waited. And waited. She returned a bit later to take our order and we again asked for 2 waters. She brought those right back no biggie. Horrid. Food bad server worse. Ive been a few times and each gets worse.
I was trying to make an order online, to pick-up, but it does not allow you to "add bacon" to example: an omelette. It only allows you to add as side. Lady who answered the phone seemed slightly helpful and said she would tell them to add that bacon to omelette. I arrived approx 5 minutes earlier than I set pick-up time for, and was told it is not quite ready - Okay perfect. I usually love BBD. But when you come on Thanksgiving and see half the staff out back smoking pot and walk inside to see everyone returning their orders for being wrong. You get a little disappointed and worried. Get it together people!!!
We went there this morning for Veterans Day and myself, my husband, sister-in law and brother-in law all had breakfast mind you we are all Veterans! I was extremely insulted by the waitress at first who assumed that my sister and myself were spouses and not Veterans and then when we checked out our Veteran status was questioned!!! Even with identification that shows we are Veterans! Thank you for making this Veterans Day so great Black Bear Diner (insert sarcasm here) way to go!
Won’t be back for a while to this place. what’s the point of having online ordering for people who don’t have a whole lot of time to go and get food on their lunch break if you show up at the time your order is supposed to be ready(fully expecting to wait a few extra minutes) and get told “im sorry we don’t have that” what??? Zero stars would be more fitting. Between the terrible service and messed up orders I don't even know where to start. Restaurant is in disrepair, wallpaper peeling off, carpets are stained and coming up (trying to walk through to get to the restroom after a recent knee surgery was sketchy at best),tables leveled with napkins etc. Our waitress was very erratic and even other wait staff appeared very irritated with her.
