If 0 were an option I would select it. The initial greeting we got was poor from the hostess, so the lunch didn't start off amazing. The couple behind us got a friendly , "Hi, how are you, have you ever been to a Black Bear Diner before?" "That would have been nice, and a little heads up about the "menu." My side salad with ranch was uneaten by me because a special gift poured out along with the ranch. What it was, is still a mystery. It could have been a sliver of a soggy apple, potato, ham? Who knows, but I didn't order ... read more

After we were seated at the table The first thing that was the waitress gave us the bill for the next table before we even looked at the menu Then when we received the food , I had to send my steak back 3 F times . The rest of the food on the plate was cold and the steak still was not cooked well done . Then top off the evening NO A1 sauce . We will never go back

It just seemed the food was over seasoned like they were trying to hard to make it good when a lil more simple would have been better. I will try it again i got chicken fried steak and did not care for the breading but that doesnt say i will not like other things they have the biscuits n gravy were really good.

Didn't really feel this one... the food has a very West Coast feel to it that simply doesn't translate to my Oklahoma 'Southern Comfort Food' palate. I was kinda turned off by the staffs insistence on using bear-related puns throughout my meal. "Paws-itively" and "Bear=ry" and all that is fine for 5 y.o.'s but I'm not impressed by it.

Food is average and service is horrible.. waitress literally took our order and never came back to our table. Food was brought out by someone else and the table next to us took their cups to a worker to get refills. We didn’t get refills till I asked the hostess for help.. won’t be back
