Breakfast Breakfast was delicious definitely will be back. Was hesitant at first because it was connected to a gas station but it was very good and don't feel like gas station food at all.
We've been talking about eating here for awhile now. Today was the day!! Major tastiness! I'd forgotten how wonderful a true diner can be. Large variety, generous portions, and great flavors. Of course black bears everywhere along with pine wood touches, yeah, I feel very happy. Susie our waitress was attentive and awesome. The food was delicious and plentiful. Onion rings, cornbread, meatloaf, western bbq burger, and a bear claw. Extensive menu so we'll be coming back. A lot.
Food was good and portion sizes were generous. We waited 25 minutes for a table, which grew to 60 minutes when we left. That might be the only draw back.
Listen, if you haven't been to Black Bear Diner, GO! Leave where you are and go to Black Bear Dinner!!! The food was GOOD!!!! The pancakes melt in your mouth. The service was ok... The ambiance was like any other diner...but aside from all that...the food was good!!!
The service was excellent and the food was outstanding! Cute country diner decor creating a cozy friendly atmosphere. Will plan to return and try the breakfast items which I am confident will be delicious!
So we decided to try Black Bear after reading some very positive reviews. We came for dinner and were greeted and led to a booth. As the four of us walked to our booth, we noticed there were tables that had not been cleared, there was food on the carpet, and our hostess, noticing a puddle of liquid on our table, began using her hands, wiping back and forth, to try to sweep the liquid off the edge. Such a great place for breakfast! The best pancakes hands down. The coffee is so good. One of these days I will have to try lunch. Never have had a bad experience here.
After read the recent negative reviews about poor service, we went expecting the worst. Got there, 25-30 wait we were told...seated in 10min. Winning! Ordered meatloaf and wife fish & chips. Short wait and my food was great! Our kind and attentive waitress Melissa delivered her fish & chips announcing they did not have tartar sauce that day. My wife cannot eat fish without tartar sauce.
