Food was very good and service was awesome. Olivia was great at letting us know what we should order. The Tri Tip sandwich was very good. The food portions are big.
A nice country diner! The food came out great and in a timely manner with great help for our waitress Olivia on recommendation!
The food came out nice and hot. Olivia was attentive to us and helped us find just what we were looking for on the menu. Wide selection. First time coming and we will be coming back.
Although it's a chain diner, they have a small-town feel that makes you feel like you're part of the family. Our waitress Petra was friendly and attentive. They have a lot of food options just like a diner should. We'll be back!
My family has visited Black Bear diners in Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon and now Texas. Some were better than others. The 3 things that they all have in common are, affordable food, huge servings and good service. The New Braunfels location differs from the others because it is not a stand alone restaurant. It is located in a gasoline station which loses that comforting, homey feel for me. Thank you so much for your kind words, Gem. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Keep Feeding Your Inner Bear!
My son and I enjoyed the Bigfoot Breakfast this morning. Our waitress Tori and counter staff Noah were both very friendly and helpful. I love that they give us Veterans a discount. Highly recommended for family and kids
London gave the best service we have ever had at Black Bear!! She was extremely responsive to all of our needs and helped my 86 year old mom feel extra special on her birthday!! Excellent service and so friendly.
Service was perfect and quick, but not rushed. Thanks Petra, such a bubbly & positive outlook. Tip: Join the birthday club...just do it, it's free. I went with the Bear's choice breakfast. It's two eggs, with choice of meats, plus choice of breads (I did the waffle!). The CHICKEN SAUSAGE were in huge links. The downside is that the line cook used batter that was too thick. The waffle was so dense, unlike fluffy ones elsewhere. Breakfast is served all day. It's located at the end of a truck stop, but it is not a tru... read more
I ordered to go and I left without my corn muffins and they called me right away to come back to get them. The Prime Rib I ordered was fantastic and plentiful. I could not eat the entire meal in one sitting. I was tempted by the blackberry cobbler and added it to my meal. It is so hard to find and very good here. I have enough food for two days and that's great for a weekend!
