In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. If I could give this place a zero, I would! We waited 30 minutes before we were able to order our drinks. Then we waited an hour after ordering to not even get our food! We spoke to two managers and nothing was done. We finally just got up and left. The kicker is that the server for the section we were sitting in wasn't even there! Why seat people in a section when they won't get served! We will not be going back!! VERY POOR SERVICE!!!! Denny's had much better service than these guys!

We had a party of 8. They were super busy. One of the ladies was there early to put our names down. We watched them put our tables together, and then it was all ready, but still just sat. We had been waiting passed the time they said we were going to wait. After going up to ask the hostess is when they sat us. A few empty tables but still huge wait like a server didn't show or something. The food was a good size plate. I got the taco salad. The meat was super hard and crunchy. Other than that it was fine.

It gets a 3 for now. Food was great, the service was trash. The Black Bear in West Jordan is amazing, so I imagine this one will get better in time. It seems mismanaged, and is a likely cause for the chaos. I'll give it another chance after some time has passed.
