Portions are nice sized. Food was fresh and tasted great!
The food is delicious with very large portions. The service however is terribly slow and not very good. Do not go if you are in a hurry. Thirty minute wait for a table, once at a table we waited for close to ten minutes for someone to take our drink orders and then another forty minutes for our food. Total time invested in a breakfast out of close to two hours, which for us, a family with small children is unacceptable. We also had to repeatedly flag our server down for coffee refills and extra napkins.
The food was really good. I wanted a substitute and they happily obliged. The staff was attentive. The prices are comparable to others and well worth it.
Seated immediately (Sat afternoon). polite and helpful wait staff. loved the decor and the menus were entertaining. Nice that they serve Breakfast and Lunch all day. We were a little early for Dinner (4 pm start). Very short wait for food. Wife had the Chicken fried steak breakfast and I had the Grizzly breakfast. Both were very good. My only suggestion is to drain the poached eggs better. Sweet tea was good and the bearclaw was huge and tasty. we had leftovers. Delicious!
Food was good and the portions were big . waitress needs to learn to menu but overall I could go back
Food was good service needs to be better .I believe it was just the waiter we had not paying attention to his job.Salads need to be cut down more to bite size Bites half of it was way to big pieces and the salad dressing was to thick.Over all good food.
The kitchen staff was so loud that their commotion and joking was interrupting everyone’s meal . You would hear loud scream and lagging then the staff would all peek out of the kitchen to see a reaction then continue to joke and be loud. Consider my seat was across the restaurant away from the kitchen it was a really awkward experience. Definitely not what I expected when I entered the restaurant.
Coffee is bitter in taste. Pancakes taste like shoe leather. Menu difficult to read! Portions too large! Price too high! Once food brought to table, we had to ask for water and coffee change. Experience not good for first visit.
Mediocrity, thy name is Black Bear Diner. I give this place 6 months. By the way, I’m being optimistic. #olatheks
