In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Picked up my dad from the airport and then head out to explore Johnson Space Center. We passed Black Bear Diner on the way and stopped for breakfast. The service was really great. Coffee hit the spot. Portion sizes were gigantic. Flavors were actually good. Can't complain at all!! I had the Southern Scramble which was a split biscuit covered with 2 sausage patties, scrambled eggs & country gravy.... Side of red potatoes... It kept my full till dinner

Food was really good! The biscuit was as big as my head! My daughter says the berry stuffed French toast was amazing. She said the chef deserved a kiss!

Great breakfast ...can't refer to lunch or dinner ! Best Black Bear Diner I ate at is in Las Vegas !! Not as good in Texas !!

This was really delicious. I highly recommended it. I ordered a side of sausage as well. The biscuit was soft and flaky.
