This location is near 82nd and Powell -- across from the Walmart plaza. We came on a Monday (day after new years) around 10:30am and the parking lot was getting pretty full but there was still plenty of parking. If the parking lot gets full, there is available street parking. There was a short wait when we entered the restaurant but we were quickly seated. Our server arrived quick with enough time for us to look at the menu and the food arrived probably around 10-12 minutes after placing our order. I always forget that... read more

Good old American breakfast like Grandma would make. Good service. Clean. The kids got to color & spot bears. I especially like the ones outside looking in the windows.

This was our first time at this location after visiting the Gresham location a few times and being disappointed. This BBD is much better, food-wise. The service was just OK, but the Bacon Cheeseburger Salads we ordered were 100 times better than the Gresham BBD. I knocked off one star because we feel like our server ignored us (until tip time) and may have forgotten to put our order in since two tables near us that came in after us were served way before we were. No biggie but we were hangry so NO FIVE STARS FOR YOU! Whe... read more

I've been wanting to eat here for a long time. On a Friday night modest crowd of patrons and attentive and cordial wait staff. I had the meatloaf dinner with salad and mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. The meatloaf was wholesome and filling along with the mashed potatoes and gravy. Added bonus was the two fried onion rings. I ordered unsweetened tea and our server made a fresh batch because the other was too weak she said. Anyway you'll like the atmosphere and cleanliness and the "bear" experience. I'll be back. Oh and pa... read more

My husband and I were looking for a different eat out breakfast spot this morning and decided on Black Bear because we had eaten at their locations in Northern California a few times. We both had the mini Volcano breakfast (2 pancakes, 1 egg, 1 sausage link and one slice bacon). My over easy egg was overcooked, but passable. Scrambled egg on hubbys plate looked better... not over cooked. Pancakes were a little doughier than we like, but ok. Sausage and bacon were quite good. What we really liked about this particular locat... read more
