In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Ok, so this place is awesome! Delicious, huge portions and Excellent, friendly service! Melissa was our server and she was called away to help cover another section, but continued to take care of us also. :-) The corporate training staff is here to support all the management and employees for their first month. We visited with Steen, from the California corporate training office, who is very knowledgeable and personable :) Highly recommend this fun, family friendly restaurant - we'll be back, for sure!

Loved it. I went there yesterday with my husband and two of my sons. Everything was super yummy
