This is the third time we've been here, the first time we kind of understood the wait time for food. It was their first week. But the waitress who helped us that first time stood and talked to another boy co worker the whole time in view of the tables she was supposed to be serving. She checked on us maybe twice, instead another waitress had to offer us something to munch on while we waited over and hour for our food. We went on a Thursday night. It wasnt busy. We still had to wait to be sited. We got a nice little small both. I was disappointed they didnt have sweet tea. I order the pot pie. The filling was really good. It had lots of chicken. The crust wasnt so good. It tasted old. I enjoyed my green beans. It was a ok visit for my 1st time. I'll try breakfast next.
3rd time is not a charm...again have yet to eat here. Seems super unbusy and wait is always 45 min plus long. Again at 730 on a fri night table for 6 is over an hour. 3 people on wait list in front of us. Went accross sreet to a busy ram and got right in. Not sure if its a staffing issue or just something that says dont eat here!

Love Federal Way Black Bear but I hated the new Puyallup location. We Got there for a late dinner and it was a "15 minute wait" even though there were plenty of tables and several waitresses standing around. When the server took our order my son wanted the chicken pasta, but she said they were out of alfredo. He chose a different pasta off the kids menu and added chicken. It was all around the worst food I can remember ever having. It was like there was no attempt to make it palatable or even served at an acceptable temperature. I ordered a chicken fried steak dinner. I was very hungry and only could eat a few bites. I concluded by ordering a dessert "pie". I was still really hungry and wanted to get the really bad taste out of my mouth. This chocolate pie obviously consisted of instant pudding and fake whipped cream. I absolutely would never go back. My daughter had the same feeling about he... read more

So disappointed I love BBD but this one had the worst service, the food was amazing when we finally got it but that took 45 min from the time we ordered until we got the food. My drink seat empty the hole meal. Our waitress only came by twice once to take our order and once to give us our food.......
Called 3 times to verify they serve breakfast all day. Nobody answered while we were on he way. Ended up sitting in booth 24 for 20 minutes with only our hostess getting us water. Not a single touch by a server in 20 minutes. Obviously need more time to train the staff or find competent servers.
