The food is ok. But he service was very good. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is very noisy. My husband and I had a hard time hearing each other.
So we went to Black Bear Diner today for lunch with my free birthday meal coupon. Waitress was very cordial and attentive for about the first five minutes, and that was about it. I got my food in a timely manner from a different server and after I ate about half of it and my husband STILL didn't have his food, no explanation and no waitress in sight, I got up and went to the front counter to express our dismay, and as soon as I sat back down, my husband's meal showed up, said they lost the order, still no waitress in sight... read more

My fork had the last diner’s dinner on it. Christine’s fork was a salad fork. The food was lukewarm. Christine’s was undercooked. Twenty-five minutes to get a coffee refill, after being asked twice if I’d like some more, to which I answered “Yes, Please.” There was a screaming toddler that was not taken outside. My previous experiences with Black Bear have all been good. I will never return to Redding’s Black Bear. This is the second time in my life that I didn’t leave a tip.

not sure how to do this as my dinner was had way to much salt on the meat. the rest of it was fine. I couldn't get the meat.
