Had the worse dining experience at this location when I ate there after driving from Palm Springs. The male waiter had a chip on his shoulder and it looked like he didnt want to be there. He was rude when taking my order and continued when serving the meal. He was not professional and showed a bad light on the diner, he was even arguing with the female waitress who was trying to help him clean up and was loud when arguing with the waitress, maybe the owner should talk to this person and tell him about good customer service, ... read more

We are regulars at this location an DC today was the first time our food and service were a disappointment. My husband ordered just a hamburger with no fries because of a medical procedure he was having later today. The waitress said they could do that. We were charged for a cheeseburger and were served fries. When we questioned the fries when they arrived with the burger she told us the kitchen didn't understand and took them away. My wife and I stopped here for a late dinner. Food was ok, menu fairly extensive, prices reasonable. I decided that this might be a nice place to have client meetings, department meetings, etc., so I came back the following morning with a couple of my employees. WHAT A DISASTER! The staff were totally obnoxious, food was cold, service super slow. This place completely crossed itself off our list.

Came here because the other spots in this area were packed on a holiday weekend. Waited thirty plus minutes for the food which was about as good as a rest stop Cracker Barrel. Chewy bacon, cold eggs, bland grits and the biscuit was dry. Lathered that crusty thing with butter to make it edible. Coffee was good!

I like the food at black bear, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars. However, this location has the worst customer service. I tried to order online and the website was not working. That's fine, I understand internet issues. So, I called to place a delivery order. The lady who answered the phone told me the only way I could do that was online. When I informed her the website working she replied "I have no way of getting it to you." She offered no other alternative. I said "thank you" and she abruptly ended the call. ... read more

While the atmosphere is great and food was delicious, I was quite dismayed to find management discussing staffing issues and blatant retribution regarding an employee. I have been in the HR field for a number of years and it's never professional or acceptable to discuss matters on the floor in front of paying guests. I heard what I can only imagine was one of your management staff saying that another manager was going to text an employee on their day off regarding a complaint. Service was great after we got seated... Did not notice the promised hospitality at the door. Food was cold.. Breakfast sausage patties were Charred and not edible., and eggs were sitting in grease. Not the experience we expected

It makes me very sad to write this review! Our last 2 orders had to be cancelled and refunded as the delivery person never showed up. Obviously not BBD's fault, however, a phone call or text would have been extremely nice!

Out of bear claws!!! Extremely slow service. Old burnt coffee! Dirty silverware. Tiny little butter in plastic cubes. Tons of screaming kids! NEVER AGAIN‼‼‼
