I usually like Black Bear Dinners, this trip was mediocre at best! We were totally forgotten in the corner...it wasn't busy and our food came room temp. I don't even know why my family felt the need to tip.
I've heard this place is supposed to be fantastic.. I've been 4 times and every time the food is not even good and the staff is so unfriendly. No more for me...
Took my sister out for her birthday breakfast. She ordered biscuits and gravy. Not enough gravy, hard biscuits. Asked for crisp bacon, limp and fatty. Asked for tea with honey, 2 trips later, got honey. I ordered the mushroom Benedict. Potatoes were slightly warm. Never got a refill on the orange juice. Before all of this and took a half hour to get our meal. Supposedly, there was a big party, that took all the cooks in the kitchen? We love Black Bear Diner, and we usually go to one after every wrestling tournament. This was not up to franchise standards at all. My kids' meals were not prepared the way they requested- mom daughter's bacon cheese burger came to the table without bacon or cheese. My son's salad came with both the items he had asked to be left off. Our waiter went on break. So my son just picked through his salad while my daughter waited for a new burger.
