Food was delicious, service was exceptional & the cozy clean atmosphere is impressive. Cece & Michelle are a definite asset to the team. It's my second time and I will be coming back!
We had a nice dinner at Black Bear. We shared the blackened salmon and a burger. Salmon was good but the burger was very good. Dinner salads are generous. Ariana gets 5 stars and Black Bear gets 4. Very good. Our server, Ariana was GREAT. She was attentive and even though the kitchen was very slow when we were there she took great care of us.
Got a birthday bears choice breakfast coupon and decided to use it today at 6am . I was the first person there and was seated immediately . The jukebox was playing 80s music and I started with a coffee . Then got the eggs . Bacon and biscuits . The menu was good reading and there was a ucla bear poster too . Go bruins . I wonder if John wooden ate here ?
Black Bear Diner is Great! Unique, fun family friendly environment. Great portions, at a reasonable price. Some of the best pancakes I've ever had! LoL at Black Bear they're called sweetcakes instead of pancakes try them and you'll see why. Wheelchair accessible. Only bad thing is their locations are far and few.
I do remember coming here years ago for yummy breakfast foods, but I'm hopping on here today to give them a shoutout for the banana cream pie. The pies are the perfect size to share and this one hit it out of the park. I grabbed one on a Sunday afternoon before family dinner and everyone loved it. Nothing was left. Service staff were very kind and the vibe is very cabin in the woods. Thanks for coming through for me in a pinch!
The food was perfectly made by Santos. I had the California burger was juicy and fresh made. Excellent service by Ceecee who also made the best cold brew coffee and recommended me the mocha cold brew and it was also perfect. I will be returning as a new regular.
Always a great experience here. We take our kids and they love the sprinkle pancakes. Cece is great and provides awesome service!
Always a good meal at black bear diners . Went to Tarzana CA location. Ariana was the server -- a wonderful friendly and very competent server . Big portions , steak and eggs perfect and the biscuits are delicious . Desserts are big and priced not bad at all . Chicken and waffles and also a favorite. Lots of free parking .
If you love a good diner, breakfast Black bear diner is always a place to go... I didn't know there was one in Tarzana. I usually go to the ones up north. Our server Manuel was amazing. Portions are massive. You could probably share a breakfast. It just felt like a neighborhood diner.
