One of my go to's. Always great service and lots of menu items to choose from. Only complaint is I wish they were open later

The service was great! Even though there was only one server. He did a great job! He brought our food out in a timely manner, made sure we got our refills. Daniel was amazing!

I had been to the location in Ventura and decided to try this one. We were greeted as we walked in and seated at a handicap table ( my hubby & I both have canes). The menu is quite extensive but I ordered the big breakfast, which I had before. My hubby ordered an omelet and a bowl of chili. The portions do not disappoint! The first time I went to Black Bear diner was in Las Vegas. I consider myself to be a pancake connoisseur and can say confidently that these folks have absolutely the best pancakes in town. Cece was our waitress and she was a superstar. It's not a small restaurant, she was the only waitress and handled every table. There was one cook, one waitress, and one person doing dishes. If I'm here, it's normally for breakfast which has always been great. Just recently we happened to see a post about fried fish Friday which I didn't even know they had. We walked in at 5:45 which the restaurant seemed pretty emptied. The main dining area didn't look like anyone was there. Maybe we just didn't see them but we were seated to the left side where the restrooms were. Just us in that section. Our waiter came out and took our drink order. The food here is always great, you can't go wrong with anything you order! I usually get the breakfast, the portions are huge and I always take some home. Make sure you get the biscuit! My usual waitress is Nicki, she is always attentive and keeps my coffee full!

The food was good, but the service was even better. Alex was our server and he is why I am giving this place a five star review. The decor is cozy with the woodland flair furnishings. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making our dining experience memorable.
