We love eating at Black Bear Diner. The ambiance is warm and fun, the food is great for the whole family, and what we love most of all is the friendly service. Alex goes above and beyond by anticipating our every need and making us feel like a part of the family. Our 3-year old son looks forward to seeing Alex and getting a high five. Ricky is also an awesome member of the staff, who always greets us with a smile. This place is definitely one of our favorite neighborhood spots

Black Bear Diner reminds me of the places I used to eat at with my folks when I was a kid. The ambiance of this place feels like it's been taken somewhere out of the past and unashamedly slapped into the present. I almost wouldn't have been surprised if I saw a smoking and non smoking sign still there. Service was great, no issues, always topping off my coffee which I always appreciate. Absolutely the best dining experience I've ever had. i've been to many black bear locations but the Tarzana location is my favorite by far. Thanks to the incredible service from Melina! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel like family! So friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. I just had a taco salad,my husband had bigroot chicken friend steak the breakfast portions were huge. Our waitress was malina she was very pleasant and courteous and made sure we had everything we needed she checked on us often it was absolutely the best service we love the restaurant we will definitely be repeat customers

Bonnie was incredible,very friendly and such a great costumer service....highly recommended I've been here several times and nobody had offered mimosas before she was the first person to offer it...had an awesome tome with my friends.

I've been here before and I love the food so, I took my aunt for the first time and she loved it. Not only was the food served promptly and hot but, our server Bonnie was amazing. If you are in the area, go ahead and dine here, I hope you are lucky enough to have Bonnie as a server.
