First off the manager burnt my 19 month old. The manager handed my baby a bowl of the childrens Alfredo AFTER it had been in the microwave for to long. When I confronted her and said " you burnt my child because you handed her a bowl that is so hot I can't even touch it" she said "ok" and walked into the kitchen to hide. The greeting was without any words whatsoever. server was quick to get us coffee and our order. she did not have any experience with the foods so very little helpful. ones she had served us she never came back to how we were doing and we had to track another waiter down to get our coffee refilled, unlike Denny's who offer 20% AARP discount Black Bear does not and their prices are similar and service at Denny's is far better.

Stopped at the Woodlands Black Bear Diner on the way out of town. April 28,2023. 7:30 a.m. Food is Good, Blonde Waitress is Rude. She was refilling our coffee, my husband asked for more napkins. She didn’t respond so, my husband asked again. Blonde waitress replied, “ you just asked me that.” Then as she turned around she rolled her eyes at him. Maybe, a Manners Class would do her some good. We go to the Black Bear Diner in League City, Tx, frequently. Waitresses are Extremely Nice there.

Friendly front end staff but waitress was scarce and appeared to be MUCH more interested in the 6 top seated after I had ordered. No coffee refill was ever delivered even after asking for it. Food was OK but leaned towards the bland side. Id have enjoyed the biscuit a lot more if there had been butter provided (got it eventually a long time after asking for it…so cold butter on a cold biscui….bleeh). My brother was already there when I got there. The waitress passed me twice without acknowledging I was there. 2 minutes later she looked at me from across the restaurant and said “coffee” I answered “yes ma’am” A third gentleman joined us and got coffee also. 20 minutes later she asked if we were going to eat and we said no thank you, just coffee.
