I love the black bear cafe I've been to several around the country just ate at the one in Washington city it was amazing my favorite was taken off the menu but the last few times I've been there they've been more than accommodating Andy was our server today extremely pleasant and prompt enjoyed the experience because of him Good job blackboard bear cafe
A great breakfast place and I love their waffles! They were super understaffed but Andy did a great job handling all of the tables! Emily the manager was also helping out as much as she could! Thank you for all your hard work! On another note there was a group of other staff who did nothing to help out their own team. Coffees and drinks were unfilled. People attempted to flag the other staff just standing without any due regard given. Additionally, being on your phone while people are attempting to get assistance. There is... read more
We got the cod and shrimp combo, and the california burger, the combo, came with 2 sides, corn bread and salad. Let me tell you the corn bread they make is so good we ordered extra the California burger, made with fresh ground patty, and our server marcus was awesome. He was very attentive. The boy needs a raise
Family-friendly comfort food. A very wide selection on the menu. Nicely decorated as well. A favorite of our family.
If you're looking for decent priced all American food that you can take your family too and come away content, this is a great option. It may not be a ma and pops, and it's fairly generic, but I'm a sucker for pancakes and eggs with sausage and muffins. They are always fun and clean and the food portions are fairly sizable. For a bunch of kiddos who are fairly picky, it's a decent spot to bring them. I've always had great interactions with staff. My family is happy to support them.
I have never been here and just ordered from Door Dash..I made a mistake and ordered the biscuits and gravy, sweet potato fries and cornbread..well it's HUGE enough to feed 3 grown men lol everything was delicious..my kids also enjoyed their kids meals. I recommend and would be back.
The food is good, and they give big portions. My husband loves their breakfast. He said that the portions are big.
Very good breakfast menu but the dinner menu is not so great. I had a big salad for dinner last week and I didn't like it so much but I did go back repeatedly for breakfast while in St. George.
Black bear is pretty consistent with service and food. You won't find it with the local 'town flair' of an independent greasy spoon but an upgrade to the national chains like Denny's, IHOP, etc. good food at a fair price and good ambiance. Think 'cracker barrel' with a bit more home town feel.
