I'm not sure why this is getting 3 star reviews. Excellent food and portions ...a whole family of 5 or 6 could split a couple meals. The Homemade salad dressing was tasty. The taco salad is enough for 4 people.... get an extra plate to scoop your salad onto to mix. It's easy to get to off the hwy and a great spot to eat and fill up before going to Zion National Park.
While on vacation in hurricane me and my friends looked up places to eat and seen this place, but it had some pretty bad review on service. Well let me tell you, Meagan was amazing, very attentive and very nice. But not like in that fake "hiiii" waitress way, but very humble. I would definitely come back here when visiting the lake or Zion again. Food was good, large portions.
This is a clean and peaceful restaurant in Washington. The pancakes are always delightful. I generally order the Volcano Jr. What I used to do was order the full Volcano but i now find the Jr is better for me. If i want something different I will try the New York Steak. Some of the others tried it and it appeared tasty.
Serving sizes are great! Loved the blackberry pie and the sandwiches. Serving time was quick, atmosphere was welcoming and the staff friendly. Can't wait to be back and try more on the menu.
Best word to describe this place: kitschy. If you're not familiar, that means cliche, bordering on tacky. Service was a 4, atmosphere is a 4 (we sat outside on the patio on a nice sunny morning), food is a 3. If you are vegan and or gluten free, good luck finding something substantial here. Being both, my one and only option for breakfast was oatmeal. Which was fine but not very substantial to keep my e... read more
We came as a group of 15, after calling to see if we could be accommodated; we arrived, and were seated immediately as a group. Our food quality was excellent - several had the Fish Fry, Pesto Salmon, Pot Roast, and a couple other items and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our table service was simply outstanding. Our waitress provided exceptional service, a wonderful demeanor and sense of humor. She kept our orders organized, and provided fast, efficient, and friendly service. Our group will definitely be back - great value for... read more
When I first walked in, my initial thoughts were of how cute the diner was: everything from the furniture that looked like it was made from logs to the menus that resembled newspapers. It wasn't until later that I realized the restaurant was a chain because it had such a homey feel to it with some of the nicest waitresses I've ever encountered. My day had been off to a very exhausting start, but stopping at the Black Bear Diner really brightened my mood. The food was delicious and really warmed me up on a chilly day. Much be... read more
Seated quickly, great service. Love the tri tip dip! So flavorful! Great French fries. Drink refills with out asking.
Had a bit better experience, service still slow tho and seated 2 parties that came in after us, before us
