was in the area went back employees were not yelling at each other this time. great service this time from kat in the purple shirt !!!! thanks i believe she was a shift leader.check out girl ignored me for a while talking to another employee in (spanish??)

Driving home from a long day in Salt Lake my husband and I decided to give this place a try. And we definitely made the right choice. We were greeted with a smile and our server (Erin) was at our table within a couple seconds after being sat...we were told the specials and gave a couple of recommendations after we asked she took our drink order and gave us a few min to look over the menu...another server I didnt see his name walked by and asked if we were being helped my hisband said yes and he said great. Driving home from a long day in Salt Lake my husband and I decided to give this place a try. And we definitely made the right choice. After a long flight (delay) from LA I stopped in for a bite to eat. I was seated and my waitress came over with a smile. She was busy but made sure I was greeted and she took my drink order. I ordered iced tea. Erin came back around shortly after she had told me the ice tea didn't look fresh and she was making a new batch (WOW) I'm pretty sure 90% of waiters and waitresses out there don't care and they just serve their customers whatever is in the pitcher. We're from out of town and were looking for a good all purpose diner. The Black Bear really fit the bill!! I had the California Benedict and the hubs had the meatloaf plate. He said everything was good and well seasoned but objected to the carrots in the meatloaf. He said it had a sweet flavor that he didn't like. My California Benedict was outstanding. It is a fascinating little place. They truly embrace the bear motif. Little bear touches were in every nook and cranny. We were greeted by a very gracious waitress. The service was wonderful.
