I have purchased 5 BMW's from Herb Chambers and have been a highly loyal customer. I recently decided to purchase either a 3 series wagon or an Audi allroad. I test drove the BMW with a very nice salesperson and indicated that I wanted to compare it with the Audi, which he understood. I am no longer an owner of BMW because of the horrible experience I had. I leased a vehicle (from this dealership) that required very frequent repairs and therefore trips to the service department. I've encountered everything from plain rudeness to ignoring me there. I love BMW vehicles, but couldn't deal with the bad service. I did not find sales department much better either.
Horrible experience when i visited this dealership. I was looking to purchase a pre owned 328 xi. Henry refused to let me test drive this vehicle. Instead, he only let my father test drive this vehicle, even though I was the one purchasing the car. The test drive was also very rushed. We only got to drive the car for 5 minutes before he told us that we had to head back. Overall, I had a very dissatisfied experience
Went in to pick up my 3 series, but also wanted to look into Trading for a 5 series. I saw a car I wanted online and so had already decided to see it. I had been emailed by a Brian Jung and thought I would be dealing with him. Instead I had to deal with Henry Ding. He was very rude. Right away said " Herb Chambers does not negotiate on the price of their cars". I have never heard of such a thing, but if true, they do not get my business. Went to the dealership to buy a car and could not get help. When we finally did we were asked to wait because they were busy with customers, what was I? Bought a great car, but it did not pass inspection and pulled to the left. Sales Manager Chris Rich promised to pay for the repairs, until they were done and then he wanted to pay for half of them. Accused me of doing damage to the car in the 7 days I owned it and indicated he was not obliged to fix latent defects to the vehicle he was just doing it for goodwill. Of course t... read more
Herb Chambers getting a 5 rating is unbelievable. This brings out the non-genuineness of this web site. Anyways my experience was very bad with Mr Herb. They enjoy cheating people. They fooled me by saying that they are giving me a very good rate for the Presidents day and all the crap. At the end of the deal I over paid 5k for the same car.The car's wind shield has chip work to be done which I will probably have my insurance company cover and the detailing which was promised was never done. Update - 2nd visit to the dealership - Wanted to test drive an X3 on the highway .Great demo by Andrew. Thank you sales - They would not ever give you the right pricing in writing , always calling n times a day over phone and when they land up to take advantage of 2011 year incentives ( BMW - not dealer) they back out and change the pricing model - excluding items they have promised over the phone. Salesperson was pretty knowledeable; but he had trouble returning my phone calls over the order/delivery process. They deliverd the car to me without enough coolent, not exactly top knotch there. At my first service appointment, they didn't fix something I specifically asked for, then were rude about it. I guess it was OK overall, probably wouldn't go back though. Not what I expected as a first-time BMW buyer.
I love my new car although would NEVER go back here again. Bad experience and the sales team needs some professional development and training. Mike Ouellette was very pompous and I do NOT recommend buying a car from him.
