This company has the absolute worst prices anywhere. I know because I bought two cars previously from them and over paid each time. I tried again but a thousand off on a 40,000 BMW or Audi doesn't cut it. They played the salesman, sales manager routine to the hilt at both locations to the hilt and tried to wear me down. The Audi location wasn't as bad but their prices were more then anyone else. I ended up receiving $3500 off on a BMW the next day from a different local dealer. My advice go somewhere, anywhere else and you w... read more

Living in the area it was important for me to try and by local. Both for the convenience and the service aspect. I had done some research ahead of time and knew the programs that BMW was promoting as well as the value of my trade(I had had the car appraised several times recently). The salesperson was informative and professional, although I was never offered a test drive. My issue was not with him. After several volleys I felt that I was not being treated as a valued consumer. They were extremely low on my trade value and t... read more

Never in my life have I experienced such unprofessional behavior at a car dealership let alone a luxury dealership than at Thompson BMW of Pennsylvania http://www.thompsonbmw.com/dealership/staff.htm. I have been working with a sales associate of the name, Jayne Carbonetta. Jayne has been nothing, but short and rude with me during my whole experience. She only responds at her convenience and never answers her phone when I call. I was suppose to close a deal with her on a 27mo lease 328i which expires 1/3/12. The selling pric... read more

Took my car in for service as well as inspection and emissions. For some reason they rebalanced the wheels, which I didn't request; they were the winter set with a set of extra wheels that I had bought. The old weights were removed such that the wheels were damaged. Also, the front passenger side turn signal light was full of cracks. Naturally, I didn't check the car when I picked it up as I didn't expect this, but noticed when after I took the 2 mile drive home. I filled in the survey that they sent to me via email and ment... read more

Drove from NY to buy a CPO 535 wagon with the options I could not find elsewhere. Car was delivered with the comfort access malfunctioning. Local dealer diagnosed, yet Thompson had car for 2 days and could not fix. Didn't do the two little things requested. Did find a problem with brakes that car should not have had on delivery. Pay a lot for CPO, told car like new, yet they cannot make their systems work. Overall, a very bad experience.

I purchased a pre-owned Volkswagen from Thompson BMW with a 1000 mile 1 month warranty. This vehicle was purchased for my 18 year old son to take back and forth to college and a 30 hour a week job. Two months and less than 3000 miles later the timeing chain guides broke and the timeing chain failed resulting in major damage to the engine which now has to be replaced. Luckily we had purchased an extended warranty on our own that covered most of the costs, but still will have to pay at least $1500 out of our pocket. When I con... read more

Overall, my experience at Thompson is good, but I have a few points to highlight. 1. Wayne is an idiot. Does not know how to deal with customers, has no clue about cars and cannot explain work done on car at all. 2. Mark and Joe are good reliable service reps. They know their stuff and are straightforward. 3. The way that Thompson's assigns service loaners sucks! Two weeks ahead, they say that I have a car, but by the time my appointment comes, they have NO cars for me to use. I have still gotten service loaners, but no with... read more

After having serious issues with Princeton BMW, I moved to Thompson. First service writer was good, but left. When i had a leftover problem from Princeton catch up with me, I was moved to Wayne. HORRIBLE SERVICE EMPLOYEE. Does not understand anything about the job, always was clueless about your car, did not return phone calls, did not get car completed as promised, and did not call to authorize work. Mark and Joe (dealt with both) have been great. Dealt primarily with Mark, and since changing over to him, service has be gre... read more
