I met with JAMES COSTAKOS who works in DELEARSHIP SALES . When the management team found out I was previously working with BMW in Warwick they refused to show me the car or allow me to drive it .The vehicle was a 2011 3 series convertible. I went into the dealer today to get a 2nd stage brake light malfunction error checked out. Turns out they think it was the brake force bulb so they replaced it, if it comes back might need to replace the lamp assembly.. But that's the good part of the story. They did a free wash when they were done with the car. I went out to put my bag in the trunk, and i noticed tons of sideways scratches in the trunk, bumper lip, rear side panels, doors, hood. I'm glad it was brought to your attention. What I didn't post in that review was this is the second time it happened with the detailing dept. First when i bought the car new, and second when I had this issue checked out. This is why It is so frustrating, especially since it's black paint! Should have never purchased a BMW. I should have stayed with an American car company. BMW does not treat customers fairly nor do they care after a purchase has been made. BMW does not care about an issue with the vehicle. The customer service and customer relations are horrible. Customers are treated as if they are uneducated and do not know what they are talking about. Very regretful about purchasing a BMW. Now stuck with something that I am not happy about driving. It is a horrible thought.
Okay, So, I decide to consider trading in my very clean 2007 Lexus RX400h and get a 2012 BMW X5 35d. I contacted the internet sales guy, Nick and I told him, "look, I don't want to waste anyone's time, especially mine, here are the numbers I need to make this work. I purchased a brand new vehicle but it's unfortunate that they did not take my interest in a second vehicle seriously. I ended up purchasing the second vehicle elsewhere. Service department's friendliness seems to be carried by Chris Medeiros. Wonderful greeting from phone triage receptionist especially this holiday season but Service receptionist needs to smile a bit. You need to take all people who walk into your lot as possible serious buyers. I wanted to find out more about vehicle specs.
I ordered a 2011 M3 through Nick back in April and just recently took delivery of it on June 1st. the process was quick and painless, and this is coming from a guy that hates salesmen especially car salesmen. the over all experience was so far from a sales experience that on my last visit while i was waiting for a set of wheels to be switched over i hung out with him and just talked cars. i think this in itself speaks volumes, seriously how many salesmen even remember your name after a sale.
Absolutely great experience with BMW of Newport. They worked very patiently with me to find just the right car. Milton Rogers, my sales rep that I dealt with over a period of several months, was extremely knowledgable and was able to work with the company leadership to get the best deal for me. I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2006 325Ci for BMW of Newport. Not only was the car priced to sell, but the overall experience was positive for me. The car had to go back for some minor issues. However, each time Chris, made sure that I was either picked up, or there was a car ready for me to use.
