It is unfortunate Bond 45 is overpriced for the quality of meal. I was excited when the popovers came to the table, because I love them so much at BLT Steak -- but, sadly, the popovers at Bond 45 were overcooked on the outside, gummy on the inside. I had burrata and meatballs to start, and had I not had heavenly burrata at Fiola a month ago, this one may have been great, but it was just okay. The meatballs and sauce were delicious. My ribeye was nothing special. Having been to J&G Steakhouse just the week before, I was expec... read more
Overall it was good experience. Happened to go on 4/20 so their were a couple of individuals there that were being too loud for the type of place they promote it to be but I will equate that to them possibly being under the influence...lol. Also I was a little dissappointed with the quality of steak I had. I ordered the pricey Bone in Rib Eye and I would have to say I thought it was the quality of a steak I could get at the Outback. My wife had the filet and she stated it was the best she ever had so that evens out. I did en... read more
Although the food was very good.....the high price menu doesn't match the ambiance or the service. It was extremely noisy where we had to practically yell at each other to have a conversation. The service was not very attentive considering this is suppose to be "upscale". I had the ribeye which the restaurant is known for but it was NOT anything spectacular. I have had a better tasting ribeye at other upscale steakhouses. However if you like a loud noisy bar scene then this is a place for you but if you want a nice reasonabl... read more
We had an enjoyable but not outstanding meal at Bond 45. We were somewhat disappointed by the prosciutto and mozzarella selections (they had just one variety of each available the night we ate there). The prosciutto di parma and burrata platter was very tasty. We shared the "crab steak" (a very good crabcake set atop an unnecessary piece of bread and shaped like a steak). Overall, a good meal though a bit overpriced.
Second visit to Bond 45 - great food both times. Steak is among the best I've ever had! Outdoor dining for lunch or dinner offers wonderful views of the Wilson Bridge and Potomac River. Parking is close, but pricey.
Good food but it seemed overpriced for the level of service and atmosphere.
We were extremely pleased with our dining experience at Bond 45. We've eaten there probably 5 times and each time we've had excellent service and good food. We bring our toddler and they are always warm and welcoming and don't look at us like "Oh, no! A kid!" They do not have a children's menu but there is enough on the menu that she can eat so it's not a problem.
The food was good, but surprised at the lack of ambiance. Screaming children and I had an a/c unit right behind my head that kept turning on and off all night. This was a special occasion, so other than good food it wasn't that special. There are many other steak houses that have better atmospheres.
Pricey, pricey, pricey! Nearly 500.00 with tip for five people with no booze. Having said that, however, the food was incredible and the service was very attentive. I would go back definitely and just order a starter and a main course without all of the over-priced add-ons. A wonderful experience despite the sticker shock. I would love to know what they make on selling their own water for 3.50.
