We had a great time at Bond this past visit. Thanks to the management and staff for making our anniversary dinner special.
Lives up to its NY reputation. I was seated at a table near the water in a small alcove. Quiet and private. The best filet I have ever had - thick and cooked to Perfection. Ceasar's Salad was served in a bowl perfectly chilled with the right amount of dressing. The asparagus parmasean was not a good choice. It was cooked in heavy cream with only a hint of cheese. Good, not worth the prices they charge.
Overall, the dining experience was a good one, but not spectacular. The steaks were cooked perfectly and had awesome flavor! I highly recommend trying a proscuitto platter as well. Unfortunately, the food had to overcome the pathetic welcome we received at the door by the maître d’. The maître d’ was a stuffy, middle aged man who practically scoffed at my wife and me when we arrived. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant as well as the semi-private area that our group of 6 had. The servers were very good! I was NOT impressed at all by the food considering the price. I would definitely visit another restaurant before dining at Bond 45 again.
This place has a great location. It nice and gives an warm ambience.
This was our first time and we were impressed. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Our waiter was friendly and we did not have to ask for that little extra treat once he found out that one of our party was celebrating a birthday. Even though a little pricey, we would definitely come back again with family or friends.
I've been to Bond 45 many times, and the results have been EXCELLENT across the board. However,they missed the mark during this visit. As usual the food was tasty and most important to me temperature appropriate. Although, I usually get the steak, I'm glad I got the sea scallops, which were tender and bursting with an savoring flavor of joy. Dined here with five of my closest and dearest friends. Loved the small little booths they have for groups of six or more. It made for an intimate dining experience. Our server was well versed on the menu and was able to make recommendations based on our preferences. Definitely someplace to dine at again and we are definitely going to go back to try some of their other dishes on the menu...can you imagine an Italian/Steakhouse under one roof?
