Having never been to this restaurant before, I loved it from the time I walked in. Everyone was pleasant and professional, we loved the wait staff and they provided excellent care for our party of 12. The atmosphere had lots of energy, and the dcor was very nice as well.
Food is very good. Service is hit or miss depending upon the staff member. Last time we were there we had 'group service' and we were not wowed. We have had warm chocolate chip cookies and lemoncello served to us before but not the last time. Perhaps they stopped that little extra or it was missed by the staff. Either way it was missed by us. We will give it one more try but that may be the last :(
I will keep this restaurant in my "Special Occasion" category. I really liked the ambiance and have always been partial to restaurants with dark colored wood, rustic in a sophisticated way. The appetizer my date and I chose was the Calamari & Shrimp. It was very good. Our entree was the "Crab Steak". I have had better crab in less expensive places. This was our second visit to Bond 45...and again the food and service was Excellent in the main dining room! I was a little disappointed with the Bar service. Young lady greeted us and said she would be back...never did...
For the prices I paid I wasn't impressed by the food, it could've been the fact that the kitchen was about to close in 45mins. or the lobsters are generally undercooked. I'm not to sure if I'll return as of yet, but I will say that I gave it a try!
We enjoyed the mozarella bar, the crab and scallops and found our service to be attentive. You feel a bit rushed and processed, but overall a pleasant steakhouse experience.
Based on the price of entrees it would be nice to include two side dishes. If you order a steak you only get the steak and have to order sides as a separate item. I would not return a second time, the food was good but not worth the cost.
Great evening all around. The Staff acknowledged the note I sent with my Open Table reservation and gave us a great table with a view. All staff were attentive and the food was great. An enjoyable evening.
Great place to dine for a special occasion. The service was exceptional and the food is comparable to any of the premier steakhouses in the District.
