The food was excellent. My friend had the 101 Layer Lasanga, not an exaggeration, and I had the New York Strip cooked perfectly to medium rare!!! The service was outstanding and since it was my friend's birthday they sang to her in Italian...be still my beating heart!
I will continue to come back to Bond 45 just so I can see the handsome man that greets us at the door.
The menu is not very complete. We had the lasagna which was great and 2 different steaks. My wife had the fillet and my son and I had the New York strip. None of these steaks were prime. They were ok and definitely not worth the price. The potatoes we ordered as a side dish were tasteless. The profiteroles we ordered for desert were great.
The staff were fantastic and were very attentive to our two young sons.
The restaurant was beautiful inside and though it was too cool for outdoor dining, the space outside was charming with a great view of the Potomac River. The service was wonderful and there was a menu full of choices. We stayed on the "steak" menu and did not try the Italian specials but the filet and bone-in ribeye were amazing. We were a little disappointed at the choice of sauces for our steaks and think they should definately add a few more with a little more spice, like a Brandy Cream sauce or a Peppercorn sauce. The attentive service from the door, from coat check, to the table (with complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies), was pleasurable. I had requested a window view for the reaservation, which treated us to a magnificent sunset during cocktails. The service was attentive, without being hovering. The steak (filet) was cooked perfectly, although the presentation was missing something, as it was alone in the center of a very large white plate. Had to send my steak back twice - very disappointing, sent my husband's back to keep warm so that we could eat at same time....
The food was soooooooo good. Cooked just perfect! I enjoyed the yummy free cookies at the end and the Limoncello!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that it was a bit too expensive for the food offered, most likely due to its amazing location in National Harbor
