Service was not very good. Food was good but not exceptional.
The food was absolutely fantastic. The service even better. Though the extensive wine list had only one Petite Sirah on the list, it was so good that I added it to my favorites wine list! We ordered their signature mozzarella and prosciutto sampler for an appetizer and their rib eye steak with parmesan asparagus and fried artichokes. Everything was fabulous and cooked to perfection. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience to celebrate my wife's birthday. We ordered, lobster, steak, sea food pasta and chicken entrees wit two appetizers (the fried artichokes and steamed mussels/clams/shrimp, with two bottles of and excellent merlot from California.Negatives were minor, i.e. (1.no host at the door upon entering.We had to wander into the dinning area to find someone to seat us;2. a dinner salad was forgotten, but delivered after notifying the waiter;3. When my party of 5 arrived for our 7pm we found the atmosphere to be wonderful. The drinks were amazingly tendered and when we were escorted to our private little dinning area it was wonderful. The food was amazing except for a small snafu with both the hanger steaks that were ordered. (They were medium over medium rare) but the 8oz Filet that I had ordered was perfection. Washington Harbor held a special Restaurant Week so we thought we'd try it out. Despite the server not being forthcoming with the special menu at first, we did get it and tried the Restaurant Week menu including the hanger steak. We've had hanger steak at several places and this is the absolute best ever! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We'd have it there again. It was sublime.

First and foremost, the food was outstanding! Reservations definitely required. Service was not too great. We waited about 15 minutes after being greeted by our (first) waiter until finally a second waiter came back to ask for a drink order. Overall our experience was nice. We appreciated the location of our table in a side room, which was out of the main thoroughfare. Prices run the gamut but are generally high. We took advantage of the special National Harbor dinner week specials, but, with wine the price was higher than most moderately priced restaurants. Reserve for special events or when you want to treat yourself. Last, while there may be traces of Italian, it is mainly a beef restaurant.
Great place for that special night. Customer service is great and responsive. Private booths are available for that extra privacy. This is not a fast food restaurant... Expect a leisure dinner nicely paced. Steaks are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend!
