Lovely location, slow service but the Manager was very apologetic.
We were disappointed with Bond 45 in all aspects - it is outrageously overpriced - a problem exacerbated by the relatively mediocre food. Our server had a snooty attitude, did little to promote the restaurant and its offerings. Suggest checking out Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews for more opinions. We won't be back.
The food was good, but Founding Farmers or even Ruth's Chris is better for the money. It was crowded and loud, we were seated between two server stations and along the main aisle into the dining room, making it impossible to enjoy our evening even though I specifically told the staff it was our anniversary. The server, Becky, seemed distracted and annoyed when we would ask questions or make simple requests (like my pregnant wife asking for a virgin cocktail). If you like warm steak, dried out potatoes and poor slow service this is the place for you. They must have a new cook, not a chef. We ate there a year a go and it was great. This time it was terrible and when a spoke to the server or manager they poured more wine. Will not go back based on this experience
We recently traveled to National Harbor on our family vacation. While there we celebrated my husband's birthday and I had chosen Bond 45 to be where we celebrated his day! It was okay overall. My first issue was that they do not have a children's menu, so if you are traveling with children and they are picky eaters this is definetly not the place for you. I found the food to be subpar and over priced. FOr the amount of money you pay for a meal, you should get what you paid for. Our meal was terrible, the filet migon was over cooked and my wife's lasgna was terrible and had to sauce on it or in it.
This was my first (and last) visit to this restaurant. Perhaps it was just an off day for them, but the experience was not good. I ordered the bone-in new york strip, medium rare. This is a $58 steak. It was cooked medium to medium well, and it was burned (not seared which would have been OK) on the outside and is was tougher than the leather of my 5 year old sneakers. Went to Bond 45 on Sunday for my birthday brunch. We had a group of 6 plus a baby. Unfortunately, the weather messed up our plan to sit outside and we had to sit inside. They sat us at a table that was in the middle of service area and it felt like we are sitting in a hallway. We dont't really go out that often and I really wanted this day to be special.
