The food at Bond 45 is a little above average. The service however is horrible. Our entire experience was ruined by poor service and when we complained to the manager his response was "I hope your night gets better." There are other better dining options in the area and I would not recommend this one.
Typical steak house - nicely decorated. When we asked about the sides, our server did not provide an adequate description. During our meal, our server never came by to ask if everything was okay. The price point did not match the meal.
There was a private function for about 15 people, who we were told were beer distributers. Our reservation for four was at six, so by the level of noise from that room and their excessive singing of what appeared to be Old Irish pub songs, they had been there quite a while. I couldn't here much if my conversation at my own table due to their noise. After making a few comments to the waitress, I believe something was said to the party. They left about halfway through our meal. It really ruined the dining experience for the fo... read more
What a disappointing experience! This place is definitely taking advantage of have a pretty captive audience at the National Harbor. A table of 3 waited almost 50 (!) minutes for our entrees!! The waitress was not apologetic whatsoever, but instead kept telling us that the food was "coming right up". She avoided our table. I would have asked to speak to a manager, but she wasn't even around for us to do that. When a manager did come over, I thought, wow- maybe we will get some customer service, and apology, SOMETHING? No, he... read more
This was my second time going to Bond45. The first time my husband and I went for our anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful. This second time around I thought I would treat my mom and my daughter for the evening and this time was a complete opposite from my first visit. It was a total let down. The atmosphere was okay but the wait staff that we had was absolutely horrible. We were not treated the same as the other tables around us we were not told about the wine list we were not told about the cheese bar we also were n... read more
The resturant's website says that the dress code is "smart casual." After spending a whole day out in the heat at Abbey Road on the River festival, my wife and son were dressed in (nice) shorts with collared shirts and sandals. I guess not "smart" enough. We were immediately ushered to the dumpy room off the kitchen where they put their other undesireable guests. I don't mind this, as we didn't dress up for the main dining hall. However, they could have given us a discount on the bill; part of what you're paying for is the s... read more
Atmosphere was dim, cozy, and warm. The food was outstanding. The service on the other hand left a lot to be desired -- it was untimely and we had to ask for everything (drink refills on several occasions, sugar to accompany coffee that we ordered, etc.) The table next to us seemed to be getting pretty good service (by the same waiter), so I'm not sure what the issue was. For the price that I paid, the food met the expectation, but the service did not. I probably won't return.
Expected so much more. Horrible wait service and entree's took 45 min in a nearly sparse restaurant. The only thing worth speaking of was the fabulous drinks, I suggest staying at the bar.
This New York priced restaurant had decent service, but awful seating. Having made reservations on Opentable, instead being seated in the dining room we were placed on a high bar table in the bar with a view into the kitchen. If wanted to sit in a bar I could have found other far less expensive restaurants. Opentable should try to get assurances that a reservation will be in a dining room! Basically I felt ripped off and it soured the evening.
