I want to say up front that the service was quite good. It was the food that was disappointing. This was Thanksgiving so we didn't have the luxury of just leaving and going somewhere else. There were three of us in our party, and no-one's meal was 100% good. I got the "famous" crab steak...it was okay, not fabulous but the bread and the greens that were served with it...were inedible. Same price as Mortons, food quality same as outback.
When entering the restaurant I was treated rudley being asked "what can I help you with" as if I had been trespassing. After seeing I had an a reservation I was then guided to a table in the corner of the bar. My first server was helpful and seemed attentive. I was provided water and a speach on the specials. However a new server, later determined his name was Oscar, can and repeats the entire process with no regard to the fact that I had been sitting there for 10 minutes. Over priced for portions, taste and quality. For example, lasagna was burned on edges, crab steam was all lump but served on BREAD! Waitress was a bit testy. Not impressed.
Way too expensive. The food is just not that good to command those prices. I was very disappointed with the quantity, quality, and over priced menu, as was my party of three others. I won't be going back. To be fair, the only bright spot is their warm Popovers---devilishly delicious and I haven't encountered those yummy things anywhere else. I shall miss them. ~sigh~
The ambiance at this place was great! We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful view over the harbor. Unfortunately, that was the best thing about our dining experience. It took over five minutes for us to be greeted. If I am planning to pay $50-$60 for a steak, I would like to be greeted in a more timely fashion. We were going to see Cirque du Soleil so didn't have too much time. We decided to order the Meatballs and Burrata. I thought the Burrata was just ok.
Food was good but not worth the price.
We felt that the prices were too high for the quality of the food. Although our server was very nice and attentive (we were there early before the Cirque du Soleil performance) I would not recommend this restaurant.
The food was great. The service was one of the worst we ever had. When we arrived, we were seated by the hostess at the end of an open isle. Mentioned our anniversary to her and she said congratulations. We ordered our food after 10 minutes of waiting. We were not done with our appetizers and they took them away. When dinner came only half showed up, the main course, the asparagus side dish never arrived and waited over 15 minutes to receive a drink.
