My husband and I have lived in New York City for over 30 years and have been to many pre-theatre restaurants before seeing Broadway shows. This was our first experience at Bond 45. I don't know why they recommend a 5:30 p.m. reservation if one has a show afterwards. We reserved for 6:15 p.m. and had plenty of time to make our 8:00 p.m. curtain. The staff was very good about getting us in and out. The wine by the glass was overpriced and mediocre. The food was very good. What put a damper on our dinner was our waiter, Trevor.... read more
Made a 5:15 reservation for a 7PM curtain - we had to flag the waitress at 6:20 to ask where our food was. And we only had salads. Not what I have experienced before, but definitely a bit of a black eye...
Celebration Derailed Resv for 5 at 5pm to make a 7pm curtain. Server would not take app order prior to my guests arriving...”the chef doesn”t work that way...” Not clear on how the kitchen, or the waitstaff, does work, as our entrees arrived, 5 minutes apart, at 630, leaving us a full TEN MINUTES to savor our meal. Insult to injury, server offers to comp desserts AS WE HEAD FOR THE DOOR. We choose Bond 45 for our long-anticipated celebration as a reliable go-to for pre theater dining. We are fans of the group, especially Fio... read more
We regularly have gone to Bond 45 for events, like birthdays and anniversaries for years. However, we discovered that it was a huge mistake going to Bond 45 at 10pm after a show and we will never do it again. We didn’t have a server, just tag team “helpers”. No bread was available. The restaurant was out of the bone in veal chop and tried to pass off a half a veal parm with a detached bone as the dish (fortunately I have eaten the real one before and knew they were trying to get away with a bait and switch). Service was unpl... read more
Quick pre-theater burger was less than the menu sold. I eat here many times in the year but this visit was a disappointment. Burger sitting on a big plate with handful of their waffle chips. No garnish, tomato or lettuce. Oh well $30 lesson learned. Stick with the pizzas and chicken pepperoni entree.
Over priced . They don’t even give you bread . You have to buy it . The 30.00 burger was small and the taste was odd , ate less then half . Then ordered chicken Milanese . The size was ok but they must of ran out of their spring salad for the topping . They sat us side by side , so we wouldn’t be on the way of the staff moving about . Don’t go .. not worth it. New York has much better places . Live and learn .
La comida muy buena, el servicio también, cuando estábamos terminando de comer, vino el mesero y nos dijo que nuestra mesa estaba reservada para otras personas y que teníamos que cambiar de mesa, nunca nos había sucedido algo igual en ninguna parte.
The food was terrible - cold, not fresh tasting and so disappointing.
We’ve been to Bond 45 many times and always loved it. We loved everything we ordered, and the service was usually good. Last night, however, (Thursday, March 27) we had a terrible experience. I had made a reservation on Open Table in advance. Because I use a wheeled walker I specifically asked for a roomier table. We were brought to a very cramped table that really wasn’t suitable for someone with mobility issue. But since we usually love the food and we had theater tickets for the theater next door we soldiered on. My spous... read more
