If this were a neighborhood gem it would be called a cubic zirconia ...and clearly location is not everything. The bread basket which gets passed once is a hi-lite if only it came more often and with more oil or butter. Service unattentive - food uneventful - prices fit for non-returning tourist.
Service was horrible. Served food that I didn't order. Ended up late to the theater. Loud and practically sitting on top of each other.
I went there on the Feb. 16th with my g/f and was not impressed at all. I've worked in the business for about 10 years and for how expensive it was (even for nyc) the food was NOT even close to what I expected. We ordered 3 appetizers including bowl of meatballs(12$ for two small meatballs) fried calamari and shrimp(15$)and a caesar salad. (12$) It was ok to eat, but for the price...not worth it. Adequate theater district food.
I have gone to Bond 45 since it opened and there has been a definite decline in the food and the service..... both of which were exemplary. It is a great disappointment that it has gone downhill.
I work in the neighborhood and live in Manhattan. I had had a celebratory lunch here about a year ago and found the food very good, if a tad pricey, and the service very efficient as one would expect from a restaurant in a professional work neighborhood. However, on this visit, the service was extremely poor--VERY slow and inaccurate--brought the wrong meals, initially. There were MANY empty tables, so the servers weren't overstretched. The food was absolutely mediocre. I will not be back unless someone drags me and pays.
Inconsistent. Once was good and this was not. Great location
Not bad but not great - service was good - drinks tasted watered down
The food is over priced for a basic pasta restaurant. Good location if you are taking in the Plays, but stick to a light appetizer and enjoy quality food somewhere else
