I've been to Bond 45 once before and it was a good experience. However, on this occasion I was gravely disappointed. We went wtih my kids, another couple and their child, the Friday after Thanksgiving at roughly 8:00 pm. The place was virtually empty, which was a good sign, as was the booth across from us that included 4 kids. However, the service was terrible, as it took more than an hour to deliver chicken soup and two orders of sliders for the kids and an order of Spaghetti Carbonara, 2 salads and a pasta an clam dish for... read more
Very noisy. There was not option above. The carbonara was not good. I got enthused when I saw it in the menu, but it was below my expectation. The other dish was good, but was overshadowed by the carbonara.
We arrived for an early dinner reservation - 4:45. The restaurant was empty but we were seated at a booth near the bar. As the restaurant filled up people were waiting by the bar and hovering over our table. Our waiter was perhaps the rudest waiter I have ever encountered in all my dining experiences. He started off asking us if we wanted cocktails. I ordered an ice tea and was told that this wasn't a cocktail. His attitude was flippant and non chalant. When I complained to him after the meal that he never told us the specia... read more
Service was good, but food was just okay.
Sat us next to the bus service station - not always appealing. Ordered a steak salad but with shrimp - brought a different salad - was average at best.
Overall far too expensive for what you get. Least expensive bottle of red wine $35 was about 4-5 times store retail. Food was better than ordinary but not what I would expect for $30-35 per entree. Our server was condescending and perfunctory, as if we were patrons far below what he hoped to have at his table. All in all, for the price and the experience, I would not go back.
Accommodating, but harried and inexperienced staff; It was a Saturday night, pre-theater hours, which means it was very busy, and they appeared understaffed, so if management has to bring on more help for the hours between 4 and 7 they really should do that. Most of the dishes were good, especially the shrimp scampi; steak was not as flavorful and the mushroom sauce uneventful. Our salads were overlooked and brought late; Lovely setting; Nice, happy athmosphere, and conveniently right up the street from our theater.
Although our portions were very large and delicious, our food had too be sent back as it was cold! The table next to us also received cold food! The wait service is very good and try, but the restaurant was packed and I don't think the kitchen could keep up with the demand! The restaurant was also extremely hot and the noise level was off the charts! We could not hear ourselves think!! Will not be returning!
This is an over-priced tourist restaurant in the heart of Times Square. The space is huge, and the decor attempts to evoke Italy ... with an antipasto display when one walks in, next to the wood-wired pizza ovens. But once you sit down, you're faced with $30 pizzas and other entrees that are just okay in quality, but at a price that requires an expense account. I had the seafood salad for lunch (something like $27) and was left hungry ... had to ask for more bread to fill me up. My colleague had an individual pizza (also in ... read more
