The food and service were disappointing. Although they allowed us to take our time, it seemed we were all but forgotten by the end of the meal.
Very disappointing. Our meal took over 40 minutes to come out and when it did, it was not as ordered.
Good but not great. I would have enjoyed some good NY pizza instead of spending $100 on food that was just mediocre. However, the strawberry cheesecake is the best. Also my waiter overcharged my card when I specifically told him to put $100 he charged the entire $240 bill. My fault because I signed without paying close attention to the receipt. So he basically got away with a $140 tip. Definitely was not worth it.
The Food at Bond 45 is very good for the most part. The big issue is the wait staff. Now I dont want to blame a waiter for a slow kitchen, but, a waiter that serves you a drink, hands you a menu and then disappears for 25 minutes only to re-appear and ask if you want another drink is not a good server. I have had this experience time after time. Unless one of the managers I know is on, the service is bad.
Great NY spot for pre-theater.
We ended up at Bond for a late lunch on a Saturday-4pm. Our waiter was also the bar tender and although he was very personable, he did not have time to attend to us. We had to flag him down for pepper and parmesan cheese. We ordered a baked vegetable dish that was actually cold inside. When we told our server, he took it away and said he would replace the dish. I guess they then microwaved the same dish, as it was back in a few seconds but yet, it was just luke-warm. Disappointed and would not recommend to others.
The food was a disappointment. My salad was drenched with dressing making it inedible. My guest's steak was tasteless. Overpriced and underwhelming. Will not repeat.
I had been to Bond 45 once before and had a pleasant evening with my extended family after theatre. I went again just recently and had a terrible experience. The noise level was so loud that my server and I had to either whisper in each other's ear or literally yell above the din. While the portions were quite large, the food tasted commercial and overly sweet. It was also unbearably hot which made my entire group want to leave ASAP. I will not be going back.
