We visit NYC annually in December and Brooklyn Diner is a required stop! We've introduced the experience to friends and they also love it. It's a great place for couples or families or groups of friends. Food is great, with authentic deli-style offerings and tons of comfort food (try the chicken soup or chicken pot pie!). This is my "go to" place in the theater district. Excellent food, LOVE the staff who are always friendly and generous.
Very nice spot. Our food, overall, was very good. Our waitress was excellent.
We love coming here, especially when it’s decorated for Xmas. Definitely make sure you have a reservation. We went around 10am and there was a line around the block to get in. I love the crab Benedict, though it is a fried crab cake and not on the Benedict. Service is as you would expect at a crowded diner.
We made 11:00 reservations for after a play. We arrived at 10:55 and were seated immediately. The host told us to “be ready to order as we close in 10 minutes”. Why do they accept 11:00 reservations if they close at, essentially, 11:00? The server was cold (tired possibly), but the food was decent and came out fairly quickly. After the initial “be ready because we are closing” we never felt rushed. Probably better places to go after a show, but don’t hesitate to eat here during normal times.
Food was great, but we had to wait about 40 minutes after we ordered for it to come.
Friendly staff. Great service. And good food!!!!
