The best breakfast and service we had on our NYC visit
We dined with a long-standing friend visiting from out of town. The host acknowledged our reservation by greeting me by name. The food options appealed to those seeking All-American fare as well as a vegetarian at the table.. The waiter offered coffee refills after we had settled our tab and did not rush us to turn over the table. A fun and iconic New York diner in the theater district. We have also used the 57th Street venue before a performance at Carnegie Hall. Make a reservation and enjoy!
Pre-show gathering for dinner—Brklyn Diner is reliably delicious. Good burgers! Vegetarian friend loved her eggplant dish. Shared yummy coconut cake—worth the calories!
Good place for the neighborhood-I met a friend for brunch and although the price was a bit high (considering no alcohol was included), the food was good, the coffee excellent. The people at reception were superb, but the table service was very slow. It took quite awhile for the orders to be taken. Happily, not rushed over brunch once served.
Excellent food and service (we had breakfast) although quite expensive
We had a great time and enjoyed the food, especially the cheesecake.
We always go to the Brooklyn Diner when we are in the City. My wife Loves the Pecan butter for her pancakes. NOT THIS TIME> it felt like they sold to new owners or have new chefs. Even the servers had a different attitude while interacting with the customers. Usually very friendly and attentive but no more talk more to themselves. Service was also very slow and when the food did arrive my wife did not get the PECAN BUTTER she had ordered. She Asked again. Then a few minutes later the same Waiter who took her order came and t... read more
First of all, in no way did this place feel like a diner, particularly one named for Brooklyn. Next, It had a tiny choice of dinner entrees and, incredibly, it was out of the 2 pastrami offerings, the most iconic of diner foods in the New York area. I will admit the eggplant Parmesan was very good, but for the price, it was skimpy, especially because the only side was an all-lettuce ( I swear!!) salad. Disappointing.
We dine at Brooklyn Diner every time we are in the city. Service is always impeccable. Food is delicious. Staff is charming Can’t wait until next time
