Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the food and experience. Big portions for the price. Food tasted great.
Really nice restaurant just one block from the New Amsterdam Theatre. Was seated right on time, great service (thanks Dave!) and the food was great. A bit pricey. 2 hamburgers, a pastrami reuben, 2 milkshakes, a Pepsi and an iced tea was $91 bucks. But we would definitely go back again!
I have been a big fan of the Brooklyn Diner, but about a month ago they changed their menu and got rid of many of their best items. If fact, the very items that made them a fun and unique experience. The Blackened Salmon Burger, which was great, and the Kugel Sunday which was fun. They still have the egg cream, which is excellent, but not much else on the menu is something purely their own. Our server was excellent! Took a while to get our order, but once it was all there, everyone enjoyed their meal. The kugel is delish!
Food was FANTASTIC, our server was pleasant, very helpful and overall was a most definately, we will be back !!
Two appetizers provided a surprisingly tasty and appetizing vegan meal that I would absolutely order again. Our waitstaff was thoughtful and attentive without hovering.
WOW! LIT! Awesome! A great memory for our family of 6! Joel, our waiter, was full of humor and fully engaged each of our kids on our visit. For all the people this diner serves in a day .. we left feeling special !! Place is ok in itself and staff are welcoming just not for me.
We've been to various Brooklyn Diner locations over the years and we've always had a good experience. If you're in the city to see a show or visit a museum, and you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on dinner or lunch, the Brooklyn Diner is a good choice. Comfort food along with more modern choices are cooked nicely, friendly staff waits on tables. Food is solid - my favorite is the cuban chicken. Nicely-sized portions. Great for families!
