First of all, in no way did this place feel like a diner, particularly one named for Brooklyn. Next, It had a tiny choice of dinner entrees and, incredibly, it was out of the 2 pastrami offerings, the most iconic of diner foods in the New York area. I will admit the eggplant Parmesan was very good, but for the price, it was skimpy, especially because the only side was an all-lettuce ( I swear!!) salad. Disappointing.
We dine at Brooklyn Diner every time we are in the city. Service is always impeccable. Food is delicious. Staff is charming Can’t wait until next time
We were a bit disappointed in our breakfast. One of our meals was cold, the bagel was hard as a rock and the polenta bites were not good. Even the coffee was a bit bitter and unappetizing...Our server was great though! We won’t be visiting again.
Great place to get a meal pre/post show. Kid friendly menu plus gluten free options.
A convenient place to grab a hearty meal in the Times Square area. Had great service, a good, generously sized burger prepared to order, a bit lackluster fries (not super crispy), a very nice glass of Malbec, and steaming hot coffee. The cookies displayed on the counter looked large and tasty but, alas, I was full. The prices are Ok by NY standards, and there are counter and table options. I’d go back and try a regular entree next time.
Awesome experience! Chicken pot pie was huge and delicious. Can't wait to return to NYC for more.
Fantastic burgers. Just the right size. Recommend reservation for lunch especially ia.ly if you are making a matinee performance of a broadway play. Staff prompt and efficient.
Great place for a quick bite before a show. The food is all well done, love the chicken soup, salads, burgers and hot dogs. The servers are friendly and efficient and get you out in time if you ask. The decor could use a little updating, not looking as fresh as it should, but overall it’s a much better slant on typical diner food and a good choice when you don’t want a big deal dinner.
Took a very long time to receive food. Need to question if sauces are automatically added as not stated .
