It was the first time for some people in our party seeing a broadway show. We picked the Brooklyn Diner thinking it would have a variety of food choices due to picky eaters, hence the word DINER. Our reservation was at 11:45, but we arrived about an hour early. The manager was FANTASTIC & sat us right away. Unfortunately they only had a breakfast menu & one of us does not eat breakfast items AT ALL. Again we thought Diner, breakfast all day & regular menu. WRONG! Great location and fast service.
Eat at Brooklyn Diner whenever I see a play. Food great. Service amazing. Table always available when reserved. Highly recommend.
Great inexpensive comfort food in the Theater District.
Great traditional American food. Well cooked and served.
It's a great place to go after work, or after seeing a show! I work nearby, so I often meet friends there for dinner, and we always have a good time. The menu isn't extensive, but they have great guacamole, chicken parmigiana, and coconut cake! This is what I always order whenever I go! It's really like an old fashioned diner. It's definitely a good value, because the portion size is so huge that two people could share, or you have leftovers for lunch!
The food options were very limited and we could never seem to find our waiter. Food we did have was good though.
We had a reservation and still waited 15 minutes for a table. When we arrived the hostess said they were cleaning our table now and had us stand over at the bar to wait. 15 minutes is a long time to clean a table. The food was okay. We ordered burgers. They were good but the fries were luke warm and soggy. The server seemed overwhelmed. We waited a long time for the ice water we ordered. Water arrived with no ice. Took a while to get ice. Not a great experience. Wouldn’t go back.
Would give it 5 stars except the prices seem high for a diner-like environment and menu — likely due to astronomical rents in this prime Times Square location. Perfect for a pre- or post- theatre get-together. The service is a standout — everyone is friendly, patient, well trained and eager to please. One member of our party had specific dietary needs which were accommodated without attitude. This is a busy place, so reservations are highly recommended. The full menu is also served at the bar, if the wait for a table is too ... read more
