Food was very good and the shakes were excellent. We arrived earlier than our reservation but were seated immediately. Service was good and fast.
I always liked the Brooklyn diner. The only issue I had was the tables were so close together with the other patrons I felt as if we were all eating together. I guess I’ve always eaten in a booth and never noticed the tables. For now on I will request a booth. Otherwise it was fine
ALTHOUGH JUST LUNCH IT WAS MOST ENJOYABLE. OUR SERVER, GENIVIEVE, WAS ENTERTAINING AND DELIGHTFUL. THE COBB SALAD WE BOTH HAD WAS THE BEST WE CAN REMEMBER HAVING ANYWHERE. EVEN THE STAFF WHO CLEARED THE TABLES WERE FRIENDLY AND ENGAGING. THIS WAS OUR SECOND VISIT TO THE BROKLYN DINER HAVING BEEN THERE LAST YEAR DURING OUR BIG APPLE VISIT WHICH WE TRY TO DO TWICE A YEAR FROM BERMUDA.
Good food (salads, reuben), good shakes. Nice ambiance, fun place.
I met a friend in from Los Angeles, and picked this spot due to its location near her hotel. Very enjoyable experience for Sunday breakfast. Am glad I made reservations via Open Table because people who were arriving as walk-ins when I arrived had a 45-minute wait.
Food was good. Service was a little slow. It was 30 minutes before water glasses were refilled.
Great diner experience in Manhattan! This is the food your grandmother would have cooked if she were Jewish! Great ambience, and fantastic service made it even better! I had the house cured pastrami sandwich as the main entree. I was fortunate, as the kitchen still had it to order on a Friday evening (it’s only offered until they run out). Thick-sliced (I prefer it a little thinner sliced), full of flavor, extremely tender and just enough fat to make it what it should be. I also had the chicken and noodle soup as a starter. ... read more
Greasy hot dog, wouldn’t make substitutions on the menu. Over priced for the quality
