Although I have had excellent meals at Brooklyn Diner in the past, this occasion was not as good. The service was mediocre, the food was mediocre (and it ain't inexpensive), and the whole meal was just as if we were in a tourist joint. Didn't feel like that the last few times we had been to BD. Let's hope this was just a fluke.
First time trying Brooklyn Diner because were in the area for a show. It was just OK. The service was spotty and somewhat inattentive. The food was OK. Our daughter ordered a burger cooked well-done and it was medium. She wouldn't eat it. It took so long for our order to come, we didn't want to wait for another. I would try somewhere else next time.
Food was amazing! Large portions and delicious.

We enjoyed ourselves and we had 3 generations as we were preparing to see our son's highschool wind ensemble play at Carnegie Hall and we had reserved our table and they knew just who we were when we walked in the door. Terrific staff, and we enjoyed everything from mac n cheese (made for our youngest and held back the pastrami) to our pastrami sandwiches and thanksgiving dinner which was great. I love this place for breakfast/brunch. Ther are so may wonderful options that I always have a hard time narrowing it down to just one. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pancakes are to die for!
Great for quick bite before Carnegie either for breakfast or brunch. Good service and decent food. Recommend reservation or prepare to wait for table.
Eclectic menu options and casual environment make it a good choice for group get togethers.
