It was my friends bday i said that when i made reservation on open table i was going to go tell the waiter after we ate but before i did he came over with four glasses of champagne and told my friend to pick a piece of cake on the House now that was a wow and i will be back
The wait staff was incredible and the food is super tasty. Would recommend this for families and causal dining.
Decent food. Good size portions. Chicken Parmesan and the Rueben very very good. Great service - fast, attentive and friendly. Price OK for location - almost next to Carnegie Hall. We were seated near front door and it was cold. Tables very close together and noise level high. Not for romantic dinner but fine for decent diner fare.
Wait staff was friendly. Got a piece of cake to go and it was wrapped well. Wish they'd have refilled water glasses. Didn't offer to wrap up uneaten food to take away.
These guys always hit the spot.... great host to meet you at the door... professional waiters... outstanding food served right on time (see photo of Eggplant Parm w/dressed salad).... first choice for us when we are in that part of town (57th St) Can't wait to go back!!!
Good selection of traditional NYC American food and excellent service
We enjoyed the fun atmosphere and the friendly servers and staff. One thing I was most impressed with was the glove each server wore so theie hands didn't touch the food.
I’m a born and bred New Yorker (from Brooklyn) who doesn’t live there anymore. How could I pass up a place called the Brooklyn Diner? It was very, very noisy and very congested. The first two items we requested were sold out (at 6:30!), so I ordered the chicken pot pie and others ordered a cheeseburger, pot roast and the gigantic hot dog. We all enjoyed the food we ordered but it was definitely overpriced. Despite the cost and the sold out items, it was a fun experience!
Excellent place to go to breakfast, but for parties of 4 or less. Fills up fast on weekends-highly recommend reservations. Pleased with the gluten free bread, and staff is knowledgeable on GF options. Portions are large!
