We "took a shot", being from out of town (but originally from Brooklyn), and found it to be a lot of fun and everything we ordered (including the drinks) were great. Nice service as well. Couldn't have had a better time and way to celebrate Valentines day! When we come back to "the city" we will be back at The Brooklyn Diner!
The food was really good and great staff. Will return!
The service was excellent and the food was delicious and fresh. Great place for burgers and egg creams.
Had Pastrami Reuben sandwich - the best I have ever had. Service is fast but yet friendly. Didn’t manage to try other things on the menu as I only have an hour lunch.
Best Burgers in New York!
Enjoyed a great brunch. Was very pleased with the GF bread (no extra charge!) and staff knowledgeable on GF choices. Large portions. Great diner ambiance, attentive wait staff. Highly recommend, but make to sure to reserve a table! For groups larger than 4, you will need to split up.
Chicken pot pie was delicious. Filled with fresh veggies and chicken. Could share as fish was huge. Soup good as we're their pigs and blankets!
Gussied-up, up-market version of a diner. Very good tasty food, nice variety including comfort food and healthier options, very good personable service. Though it was noisy at dinnertime, we were able to have a conversation without shouting at each other across the table, a rare commodity in Midtown restaurants. It's also rare to find a nice moderately priced place so convenient to Carnegie Hall; a definite plus.
The hostess and wait staff were wonderful. And they were kind; even made me feel less uncomfortable about holding our table while my tourist friend was 1/2 hour late. Cuisine was delicious. The classic decor and proximity to Carnegie Hall were the best of old New York. Also, I've enjoyed the 43rd St. Brooklyn Diner location which is quite elegant and convenient to all theatres.
