Brooklyn Diner is a favorite when thinking of a special place to celebrate a birthday or get together with friends. Because the place was so popular, they were out of the matzo ball soup which my co-worker was looking forward to have when she had it last time. They clearing list on the menu that popular items do run out. As usual my cheeseburger was very good. I ordered the aioli sauce on the side. Simply Great. Both the Pastrami sandwich and the Cheeseburger were totally satisfying!
It has a good, diverse menu of diner favorites and some more inventive dishes. It seemed expensive for diner food although the portions are quite large. The atmosphere is typical diner - kind of cramped and a little noisy. All in all, not bad but there are better options for the price.

I loved the chicken pot pie! The clay pot salmon was also excellent. I wouldn't go there for the sandwiches… But those other two dishes were very special. At the next table was the most gorgeous huge hot dog that I ever saw… so I would try that also ! I will definitely go back again 👍
Our server was beyond helpful and wonderful. She was thoughtful and made our visit all the better.
We love this place for its ambiance and comfort food. Great location, too. The menu has something for everyone
