A bit pricey, but food was great and it was a good place to duck out of the NYC bustle with our kids.
Overall very good experience was spoiled by greeter not advising either me or my friend that the other party was already seated despite both of us asking for the same reservation. Took 15 minutes to rectify the situation.
The Old Fashioned Burger & Matso Soup were delicious. It was a little over priced but a good experience overall.
Amazing Burger , hotdog and cheesecake! "Must Do" in New York. Highly recommend to everyone. Visited this place tones of times and food and service is always great! Perfect place for everyday family, friends, couples Lunch/Dinner. Especially if you are hungry!
Vibrant diner with friendly and professional staff. The food is very good. The hamburger, French fries with the aioli sauce is very delicious. The matzo ball soup is good. The Chinese Chicken salad is big and yummy as well. It is a great place to celebrate your birthday with friends.
Coffee was barely tasty. Food was somewhat over-described - it was less interesting than the prose would suggest. People very friendly, agreeable atmosphere, fine for a brisk business event.
Martinis excellent. Burger perfect. Hummus great. Pot pie so indulging and it's large enough for two!! Do not order for one. Cesar salad terrible. Fun setting and we brought a baby. Best windows in midtown. Lots of light, clean, clear glass and you could not hear 57th Street at all. Perfect fun venue, kid-friendly, and midtown prices for the menu.
Food is good but not much different than any other diner restaurant. Prices though are very high compared to any other NYC Diners - you pay for the experience of being in a 1960 Diner. Would I go back every week....no but for once in a time experience maybe.
We have been to Brooklyn Diner 3 times on this trip, 2 different locations. We have had 3 totally different experiences. For the most part we like the diner. Food is not 5 star but good. Service was good 2 of the 3 times. Locations are good. Fun for a casual meal.
