Great food. Great service
What a great place! The ambiance is great, very nostalgic and fun to see the names of all the famous people who have visited on the wall. The food is even better. I had the "famous" Matzoh Ball soup which was fresh and delicious with veggies and big pieces of chicken and one huge matzoh ball. My son had the turkey reuben which he loved, and my other son and daughter each had a cheeseburger. We enjoyed our meal after seeing the Downton Abbey exhibition. The gentleman who greeted us at the front desk was very helpful and thoughtful. We were disappointed that the waffles were sold out -- if they are freshly made, how is that possible? But despite that setback, we had meals that each of us enjoyed. The servings were generous and our server took good care of us.

Loud. Waitress seemed like she had too many tables to cover. Had to ask for 2 things twice. Annoying. Huevos rancheros were just ok.
We arrived rather early for our reservation and were greeted and seated immediately. The chicken pot pie was delicious! It was a huge portion. It could be shared. I would most definitely return.
Good good always
Their food is simply not worth the money you are paying for it. The value for money ratio is not met. However, it has a great atmosphere and I enjoy go there - but they really should work a little harder in the kitchen if they wish to maintain their position as one of the best NY diners (and most expensive I should add).
