I'm so disappointed that Fiorello's seems to be phasing out the antipasti bar. For more than a decade it has been my choice for a quick, delicious and fun option before Lincoln Center shows. During my last visit, all seafood items were completely removed making it less of an option for a dinner. Without full antipasti bar as a choice....Fiorello's is not my choice!
We like to talk to each other over our meals. I know! We are old fashioned. We asked for a booth in a quiet area. No problem. We were cheerfully escorted to a perfect booth and had a find conversation The waiter was funny and helpful. Someone brought warm, freshly backed cocolate chip cookies around. All in all a great experience- again!
Food was tasteful and portions were great. Attentive and professional wait staff. Perfect for pre and post theatre.
New theatre menu (4-8pm)was a bit uninspiring - service lacked the personal touch we have experienced here before. My spaghetti carbonara was okay - the pancetta was very chewy and fatty, not melt in the mouth as previously. All staff seemed rushed and a bit frantic. Shame as we have loved eating here in the past. It's convenient for Lincoln Center and the menu prices are reasonable.
The revised menu has many terrific options for vegetarians. The pizzas are outstanding. The service was outstanding. Our waiter explained menu items in detail and made great recommendations. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.
We had an enjoyable and delicious meal before going into the Met Opera. They were able to seat us and were sensitive to the timing issues involved with curtain time. In fact, there must have been a lot of lincoln Center pre-show patrons because the place virtually emptied out around the time we left at 7. Food was excellent, well-presented and reasonably priced. Wine list reasonably varied but high-priced. Will return.
I always eat at Café Fiorello before the opera. The service and food are great, particularly the antipasti bar.
Tables were too close together and it was uncomfortable because there was no privacy to converse. We made a reservation and we ended up with a tight table next to the door. There was a cold draft each time a new customer came in. Service and food was great.
I love Cafe Fiorello! It's my favorite happy place to eat before attending a performance at Lincoln Center. I recommend it to everyone. The veal chop piccata is delicious. Not in the mood for a big meal, sit at the bar and have the antipasti trio with a glass of your favorite wine. Mine is the super Tuscan. Buon appetito! Ciao!
